Do I have to create an account to watch the channels?
You don’t have to. Feel free to explore Strimm at your leisure, browse and watch channels, search the categories or visit existing member’s Network’s. However, many features, like adding channels to Favorites, Watch Later or creating your own TV channel will require signing up. Why limit yourself? It takes just few minutes to create an account and it is FREE!
Is it easy to create my own TV network?
Strimm is a unique platform with a range of easy-to-use tools, allowing you to create your own TV network within just a few minutes and from the comfort of your chair. Virtually every page has instructions on how to use it.
Can I just watch someone's channels without creating my own?
Yes! Strimm is a public platform, where channels are made by users and broadcasted online, for public entertainment.
Do I have to make my own videos to broadcast?
You do not have to make your own videos; you can choose to create your channel with ready-made videos or produce your own videos. Strimm’s platform allows you to use publicly shared videos from third-party video providers, like YouTube or Vimeo or Dailymotion, to create unique, continuously broadcasting channels. If you want to broadcast your own videos, simply upload them to these video providers and stream these videos from your channel, based on your own schedule.
Is it legal to use videos from these third-party video providers?
Please know that by creating a channel or playlist with videos from third-party providers like YouTube or Vimeo or Dailymotion on Strimm, you do not upload or download videos onto your account. You simply create a link to their server, which is a third-party service, where the video is located and is being streamed from. Only videos, which are allowed to be embedded and publicly shared by these video providers, can be used on Strimm. Please feel free to check our Copyright Policy.
Can I create a channel for my family to watch?
You can create and customize any channel you want, let your imagination go wild. Once your channel is created, simply share the link to your channel with friends, family and the world. You can broadcast a food show in the morning, a nature show in the afternoon and cartoons for your little ones in the evening. Your channel, your choice!
What is Network?
Network is your dashboard with your Bio or story and all Channels you have created. Feel free to share link to your Network page, to let the world know about you and all your amazing channels!
What is Production Studio?
Production Studio is where the magic of TV creation happens! It is the place where you can add video content to your account and to schedule continuous broadcast on any day and at any time.
What is "My Videos"?
The “My Videos” is your personal library of video content, which you have added to your account. It is located in Production Studio, in “Get New Videos” area. All videos there are sorted by categories. You can use your personal video library as many times as needed to add videos again to any of your channels. Even if video is deleted by accident on the channel, it is still located in “My Videos”, in its own category.
How do I share my channels with others?
All channels and Network pages have unique URL’s, which you can share on Facebook, Twitter or any other social media platform or simply send it by email to your friends. There are Social Share buttons on each channel and Network page. Please use them to make it easier!
I am 12 years old. Can I use Strimm too?
You can watch age appropriate videos, but you cannot become a registered member of Strimm. Only members of 18 years and older are allowed to register. Parental supervision is strongly advised for all kids under the age of 18.
I do not have time to watch a video now. Can I watch it later?
Yes! Each channel has a “Watch Later” button below the video screen. It allows you to add video to a special “Watch Later” folder, which you can access at any time from the Menu. Make sure to sign up or login first to use this feature!
